INDEPENDENT
JUDGES

An independent panel of judges made up of independent flooring industry leaders and commentators will select the best after detailed research of submissions.

The industry's prestigious awards scheme was launched by The Stocklists magazine in 2018 to great acclaim and welcomed across the industry as an exceptional, independent award scheme.

Categories.

There are 10 categories for entries:
  1.  Carpets & rugs - natural fibre
  2.  Carpets & rugs - man-made fibre
  3.  Smooths (vinyls, laminate, cork, woods)
  4.  Design - carpets and rugs
  5.  Design - smooths
  6.  Underlay & accessories (trims, profiles, anti-slip, etc.)
  7.  Installation, products & tools
  8.  Environmental initiatives
  9.  Marketing concepts and merchandising/POS
  10.  Technologies (techniques, apps, online, etc.)

What wins.
Candidates can be:
  • A new, innovative product
  • A new, innovative service
  • Something unique or exceptional in the industry
  • An innovative contract/residential installation
  • A new innovation in environmental technology
  • A new technology upgrading an existing product or service
  • An environmental innovation or an eco improvement to an existing product or service

Schedule.

  • We're open for entries from March 3, 2026
  • Entries close on July 3, 2026
  • Winners will be announced in August, 2026
  • Gold winners will be announced in September, 2026

Judges
The all-star line-up for judging the 2025 awards included industry leaders from all facets of flooring...
Rules.
  • Submissions have to be a “new thing” in the 24 months proceeding March 2026.
  • There will be up to five shortlisted entries in each category.
  • Shortlisters will qualify for the 'Innovations Star' award and logo.
  • One candidate from each category will be selected for an 'Innovations Gold' award
  • Awards are for a product/service, etc - not company based.
  • Shortlisters will qualify for the 'Innovations Star' award and logo.
  • One candidate from each category will be selected for an 'Innovations Gold' award
  • Companies can submit more than one product/service.
  • The closing date for submissions is Friday, July 3, at 17:00.
  • The judges decision is final.
  • The Flooring Innovation Award logo can be used ONLY for the product or service for which it was awarded, and must not be used more generally to brand the winning organisation. It must not be used on successor or extension products/service. The logo must be used with the date of its award and never without the date of issue.
